I believe the internet is a medium we can no longer ignore if we are committed to “abounding in the work of the Lord” I Corinthians 15:58. It should be used by those who are charged with proclaiming truth to, with humility and conviction, relate the words and ideas of scripture. I hold a traditional, conservative, fundamentalist Christian view and believe every word of the Bible is true and should be considered before coming to conclusions or taking action.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” We spend a good bit of our time in church offering prayer requests to…
“For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.” I have a friend who recently began to say “Lord willing” after each statement of intention. At first I began to wonder…
“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?” The question contained in this verse is an important one. If we asked the average Christian why they are…
“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.” Two applications immediately spring to mind after reading this verse. The context is regarding the tongue and how it has power to…
“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.” Words…
“Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?” The story of Rahab is an interesting and difficult case study. While she told a lie to…

“If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.” This passage…
“For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of…
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” We usually do fairly well with the latter portion of this command; the slow to wrath part. This is only because it is…
“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” I have endured my moments of double mindedness. It is a hard thing to admit that God and things of this world have held a competing place in my life,…
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” I’ve thought long and hard about these type of passages. I mean the type that encourage us to…
This blog used to be a place to find daily devotions. Those days seem to be long gone now, as an infrequent post is usually all I can muster on such a demanding schedule. Well…the schedule is not going away,…
